Jamie brewed Janson 1010 at U.S. Brewers Cup Nationals. Our barista Jamie took this coffee to her first national competition, and we’re proud of how she represented the shop — and grateful to everyone in the community who cheered her on.
The Brewers Cup is one of specialty coffee’s most celebrated competitions, focused entirely on the craft and intention behind hand brewing. Watching Jamie grow as a brewer and a barista has been the best part.
This Gesha comes from the family-owned Janson Farm, established in 1941, nestled between the Tisingal and Barú volcanoes. Janson focuses on quality and harmony — balancing soil nutrients with enzyme microorganisms, using no pesticides or herbicides, and separating plantations with natural forest barriers that protect local flora and fauna. The farm runs entirely on energy from 400 solar panels.
