Legends of Excellence Cupping

Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 10:00am – 11:45am 252-29 Northern Blvd, Little Neck, NY 11362

Join us at Bean & Bean Little Neck for a cupping featuring lots from the Alliance for Coffee Excellence's Legends program: coffees from producers who've built careers on consistently winning Cup of Excellence awards, 12 producers across 6 countries this year. Each Legend's lot is capped at just 10kg total, and we've secured a taste of every one for this cupping.

You'll taste alongside Jiyoon Han, Bean & Bean co-founder and international Cup of Excellence juror, who'll walk through what makes these lots stand out. No cupping experience needed, just curiosity.

What you'll taste

The coffees featured in these classes.

The Fort Lee classes brew these two side by side: a reference point, then your own preference. Both are the kind of cup that's easier to appreciate once you know what you're looking for.

Who it's for

No experience required

New to coffee?

Bought beans you loved at the cafe and couldn't recreate at home? You'll leave with a framework that works on any new bag, plus the language to describe what you're tasting.

Already a coffee nerd?

Time at the brewer with controlled variables most home setups can't run, plus structured palate work alongside other people who care about the same details.

Good to know

Do I need any coffee experience to attend?
No. Every class is open to all. Whether it's your first pour-over or you already geek out over ratios, you'll leave with a framework that works on any bag.
What should I bring?
Just yourself. We provide the coffee, the gear, and everything you brew and taste. You'll leave with a bag of coffee to practice on at home.
How does the bundle work?
The bundle covers both Fort Lee classes, Coffee 101 on Aug 29 and Hands-On Brewing on Sept 26, for $120. Book it as one ticket and you're set for both dates.
What's the refund policy?
Seats are non-refundable. Each class is capped at a small group, so please book only if you can make it. Sessions run 10 AM to 12 PM, so please arrive on time so you don't miss the setup.
