Agricafe is a Bolivian family business that produces coffee from its own farms and sources high-quality micro lots from small producers in Los Yungas and Santa Cruz. Founded in 1986 by Pedro Rodriguez, Agricafe has become a pioneer in South American specialty coffee. Today, Pedro runs the company with his children, Daniela and Pedro Pablo, with a mission to restore and enhance Bolivian coffee. By leveraging the expertise from Fincas Los Rodriguez, Agricafe collaborates with around 100 producers to improve their farms' quality and productivity, ultimately aiming to provide better livelihoods for their families. A key initiative is the Sol de la Mañana program, which Lucia Mamani has been an integral part of since 2015. This seven-year program educates local producers, guiding them through all aspects of coffee farming, from nursery management to financial planning. Lucia's participation highlights the program's success in empowering producers with the skills necessary to improve their farms' quality.
